The General Hospital of La Palma hosts a conference on Fibromyalgia

The General Hospital of La Palma, under the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, hosted this morning the First Day of Fibromyalgia, a meeting organized in collaboration with the Association of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue La Palma that had the presence of the director of the Health Area, Beatriz Páez, the manager of Health Services, José Izquierdo, and the president of the Frida La Palma Association, Dilcia Díaz.
Directed to professionals, patients and users of the Health Area of the Island, in the Conference participated different specialists who brought the fibromyalgia to the attendees to those who made known forms and methods with which to improve the response to this pathology.
Within the framework of this Conference, the Coaching and Emotional Wellbeing workshop was also held: tools to tackle fibromyalgia taught by coach and trainer Dévora Viña, which was held between Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
The Director of the Health Area, Beatriz Páez, has been satisfied with the celebration of this Conference “whose objective has been to inform and provide the population with tools that allow it to make the symptoms of fibromyalgia more bearable”. For his part, the manager of Sanitary Services, José Izquierdo, said that “from the Health Services Management we are betting on initiatives like this that help improve the quality of life of our patients and users through training and information” .
